Art has always been a part of me. When I was a kid, you could usually find me drawing or doodling. I wasn’t the best in the class, but I was good enough to feel confident in my creativity. Art was something I enjoyed, it gave me peace, expression, and joy. I did well in my art classes in high school and even took two graphic design classes where I really thrived. But back then, I didn’t understand how graphic design could lead to a real career.
In my last year of high school and early years of college, I lost touch with that creative side. I tried to follow the “safe” path, taking business classes because that’s what everyone said would make me successful, but I absolutely hated them. I wasn’t motivated, and I started to feel more and more disconnected from myself. I knew deep down that if I wasn’t happy at work, I wouldn’t be happy in life.
So I dropped out of college for a couple of years and took the time to figure things out. I thought back to the things I used to love, and art kept coming up. That’s when I realized I could pursue graphic design professionally. I went back to college, this time with intention, and chose graphic design as my major and digital marketing as my minor. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Suddenly, school made sense. I was learning things that interested me, and I started to thrive. After graduation, I landed a job that gave me experience in several areas of marketing, but I always found myself coming back to the creative work. That’s what made me happiest. During that role, I got to design billboards, brochures, apparel, and more. These projects allowed me to blend creativity with real-world strategy. But even then, something was still missing.
I wasn’t doing work that felt meaningful. I wasn’t creating for people I connected with. So I started freelancing. Now, I get to use my creativity to support small businesses, tell their stories, and build brands that matter.
I want to use my skills to make a real difference for people like you. Whether it’s design, strategy, or creative direction, I’m here to help you feel seen, successful, and supported every step of the way.
